Electric scooters

Despite the legal issues, e-scooters have become extremely popular in Singapore with an estimated 2,000 – 3,000 portable electric vehicles (PEVs) on the road according to one of the largest distributors in Singapore, Falcon Portable Electric Vehicles. His competitor Zoom mentioned at an interview with Asia One that he sells 50 – 100 e-scooters every month since his launch in April 2014. Two retailers that can change the way you travel:
1. Falcon Portable Electric Vehicles
Probably the largest distributor in Singapore offers e-scooters from $500 onwards. Bestseller seems to be MYWAY for $1,800. It weighs 14.5kg, can go up to 25 km/h and ride a distance of 30km until it needs a re-charge. Falcon PEV lets you rent e-scooters for $30 per 24 hours but you need to pick-up and drop off from their store at 160 Paya Lebar Road #04-02, Orion Building Singapore 409022. Singaporean Founder, James Lai, was inspired during his stay in bicycle friendly Holland and brought us the ZoomAir. Zoom claims to have the lightest e-scooters in the world weighing 10.7kg. ZoomAir is foldable, can go up to 26 km/h. Battery recharge takes less than 2 hours. The second edition of ZoomAir has two models: one with 6.5 Ah (Ampere hours) LI-PO battery that can go up to 25km for $1099 and one with 8.5 Ah that can go up to 32km for $1299.
